Comments:
The Palisade is unique amongst Hamilton's early models. Offered in
1930 only, the Palisade was the first Hamilton that was offered with
a truly "round" case. Earlier "round" offerings such as the Cushion
utilized a cushion shaped case with only the dial opening being
round in shape. In addition to its shape, the Palisade was unusual
in that it was offered with a metal bracelet - the first time
Hamilton had offered a men's watch without a leather strap.
It is believed that all Palisade's were sold with metal
bracelets. The example above no longer has its metal bracelet and
subsequently is shown with a period pigskin strap.
The Palisade was offered in 14K
yellow and white gold-filled only and is a fairly scarce model.
